DO IT LIKE A CHEF!

While the memory of our first lockdown still hangs over us, it happened in Spring/Early Summer, which made it somewhat easier to cope with, thanks to gardening, doing house improvements and outdoor exercise. Not so much this time, in the dead of winter - short days, long evenings and cold weather do not lend themselves to planting, hammering or jogging. Thankfully, we've still got cooking and baking! We may not be able to welcome you at the Bistro right now, but we can still share our love of all things food with you!  Has your family had their fill of your homemade sourdough and banana bread? Let's start with an easy one: Pistou! A staple of Provencal cuisine, this easy to prepare condiment is as versatile as it's delicious, and can be enjoyed as sauce for pasta or as a flavoring for steamed vegetables, grilled fish and in soup (the famous pistou soup!)
